Our Abacus Program
Abacus is a one-of-a-kind class offered at Best Brains. We use an actual abacus tool, which is an ancient calculator designed to help with faster calculations. Not just a math class, Abacus utilizes math problems to engage right brain thinking. This pushes students to engage the left and right hemispheres of the brain simultaneously.
As students progress through our levels, they boost mental math skills by solving increasingly complex problems. A graduate of our Abacus program can solve 3-digit by 3-digit division problems faster than a calculator and will retain these skills throughout their life.

Junior Abacus
Ages: 5.5-8
Your child will learn how to solve various equations using the abacus tool, and eventually, without the tool by visualizing the bead movements in their head.
Senior Abacus
Ages: 8 and above
Your child will learn all the basics of abacus but will work at a faster pace to build upon their developing skills.
Advanced Senior Abacus
Ages: 8 and above
After mastering the basics, your child will learn more advanced abacus skills such as multiplication, division and decimals.
